| Members work in
a variety of mediums: oil paints, acrylic, watercolors. Several are photographers
or sculptors. Others are pencil artists, or create glass works or pottery.
The level of skill and professional development ranges from beginner
to developed career artists. Some have gallery affiliations, others are working
independently. The group, a mixed bag of artists with an open membership
policy, is committed to mutual support, education and development of connections

About half the membership graduated
from the Memphis College of Art or the University of Memphis. Others come
from out of state universities as moves bring them to the Memphis Area.
Members who move keep their membership in order to stay in touch and
now reside in Albuquerque, NM, New York City, New Jersey, Little Rock,
and Senatobia, Ms, with one member residing in Moscow, in Russia. We are
a consortium of artists who have come together for the purpose of support
and advancement of the arts in the midsouth. |
